Experience

I am a tutor with vast experience and education when it comes to all things writing, and I specialize in tutoring English, writing, and literature. I also offer essay editing, specifically assistance with college essays, grammar, and mechanics. I've worked as a professor at a college, but I love to teach various age groups, from elementary through adult, at the college level and beyond. I was passionate about my college career, and earned my B.A. in Creative Writing and Literature from Wheaton College, a master's in English Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Ph.D. in English from Loyola University Chicago. I am also able to work with students in all subjects at elementary through middle school levels, including Math, American History, Social Studies, Public Speaking, African-American history, Sociology, and Anthropology. My Ph.D. is focused on the study of work from the 1800s, and I am especially adept in teaching history and sociology. Besides these subjects, I can help students with GRE test prep, general test prep, and CLEP subjects. When I'm not working, I love being outdoors, and I enjoy scouting out new locations while hiking in the wilderness. I enjoy camping as well. I adore movies and music, with horror and sci-fi being my two favorite genres for movies.
