Education

I have 14 years of formal education in Spanish, culminating with a BA in Spanish from Baylor University. I maintained a 3.5 or greater in all my Spanish classes and am fluent in speech and writing and knowledgeable on Spanish and Latin American culture and literature. I also have a BA and MA in Clinical Psychology (Baylor and University of Mississippi, respectively). I am in the final year of my PhD in clinical Psychology.

Experience

I have lived in Madrid, Spain for a semester and visited Mexico on two missions trips. I also provided translation services in a community mental health clinic and area hospital. Regarding psychology, I have taught 4 university-level courses. Two were introductory courses and 2 were senior levels courses. My research and clinical interests are in theoretical and applied psychological therapy. A few other noteworthy things are I am an Eagle Scout, have worked at a summer camp for 11 years (ages 6-15), serving as the program director for a year, and I work with high school youth at my local church.

Hobbies

I enjoy running and reading (my parents actually had to ground me from reading in middle school). In fact, I just moved to NOLA and most of my boxes were books! I also enjoy wood working and watching the Office. My escape is the mountains and I enjoy backpacking trips. I have a rescue lab mutt name Meeha (Spanish for my "my little girl") and she is also bilingual.
